A Christian Home

Prayer Points

  • Let us thank the Lord for His selfless, sacrificial and unconditional love for us; thank Him for His redemptive power which neither fails nor diminishes.
  • Let us thank the Lord for our families; thank Him for this great opportunity to pray for our families on this platform.
  • Let my family be consumed by Your great love; be the solid rock upon which my family stands.
  • Father, please grant me the grace to hold on to You till the very end; to hold on earnestly to this truth I have heard and received (Hebrews 2:1-3). Help me not to neglect this great Gospel You have freely given to us; help me not to drift away; give me focus and take away any form of distraction.
  • Help me Father, to truly be a faithful follower of Christ and be ready to obey His commandments/instructions without questions.
  • Please Lord, run the affairs of my life/family/home so that I will not mess things up.
  • Let my life truly be a reflection of You (Christ); give me the grace to totally surrender myself to You so that I can be used by You in Your own way.
  • Lord, please show me mercy.
  • Let Your word be sharp in my mouth so that I can lead these ones (my family members both nuclear and extended) you have given me, to Christ (to You).
  • Pray into this hymn:

A Christian Home

O give us homes built firm upon the Saviour,
Where Christ is Head, and Counsellor and Guide;
Where ev'ry child is taught His love and favor

And gives his heart to Christ, the crucified:
How sweet to know that tho' his footsteps waver
His faithful Lord is walking by his side!

O give us homes with godly fathers, mothers,
Who always place their hope and trust in Him;
Whose tender patience turmoil never bothers,
Whose calm and courage trouble cannot dim;
A home where each finds joy in serving others,
And love still shines, though days be dark and grim.

O give us homes where Christ is Lord and Master,
The Bible read, the precious hymns still sung;
Where prayer comes first in peace or in disaster,
And praise is natural speech to ev'ry tongue;
Where mountains move before a faith that's vaster,
And Christ sufficient is for old and young.

O Lord, our God, our homes are Thine forever!
We trust to Thee their problems, toil, and care;
Their bonds of love no enemy can sever
If Thou art always Lord and Master there:
Be Thou the center of our least endeavor:
Be Thou our Guest, our hearts and homes to share.

  • Family: (spouses, parents, children, brothers, sisters and relatives etc). Let us present the list of our family members before the Lord. Dear Lord, please show them mercy and establish them in Your truth.
  • Pray for the sick among us.

The Family Tree - Husband, Wife and Children

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Wednesday 11:30am - 1:30pm (UK time)

ARE YOU BREAKING THE HEDGE?

Ecclesiastes 10:8(KJV)  He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.

Genesis 2:9 (KJV) And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.  (two trees in the midst of the garden).

Genesis 2:16-17 (KJV) And the Lord God commanded THE MAN, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Genesis 3:1-3 (KJV) Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
  • Were there not two trees in the midst of the garden? Was God not specific about the tree not to eat from? What did she do? She twisted the information through selective listening.
Job 1:9-12(KJV)  Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
  • Satan could do this because, Jesus had not nailed him to the cross. The blood of Jesus was not available to mediate for Job’s family at that time.
HOW ARE HEDGES BROKEN?

Misinterpretation of information, incomplete information and not following the stated instructions / information/ pattern are ways in which hedges are broken in our lives, homes, churches, nations etc. This is what the enemy uses to make us break the hedge and the reason the serpent is biting. In the case of Job, it was a challenge between God and Satan.

From the above scriptures, let’s look at the following:
  • Who did God give the instruction about the tree to eat from and the one not to eat from to? THE MAN. He had the complete instruction / information.
  • Who did the SERPENT (enemy) go to ask for the information/ instruction? THE WOMAN who had the incomplete information because she was not there.
  • The question the serpent asked; was that how God said it? NO
  • The answer the woman gave; was that how God gave it? NO
  • Was the woman there when God gave the instruction? NO so where did she get her twisted incomplete information from? This is what we have in our churches today; ministering the incomplete gospel and quoting scriptures out of context to sooth us.

HOW ARE YOU BREAKING THE HEDGE IN YOUR HOME?

Is it through ignorance; the incomplete knowledge of the purpose of Marriage?

Malachi 2:15 (MSG) 13-15 ………. God, not you, made marriage. His Spirit inhabits even the smallest details of marriage. And what does he want from marriage? Children of God, that’s what. So guard the spirit of marriage within you. Don’t cheat on your spouse.

Malachi 2:15 (ERV) God wants husbands and wives to become one body and one spirit. why? So that they would have holy children and protect that spiritual unity. Don’t cheat on your wife. She has been your wife from the time you were young.

Brothers and sisters, this is the purpose of marriage; to become one body, one spirit with our spouse, just like God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit; to produce holy children, godly children that Jesus can occupy. This is the marriage between Jesus and His bride, the church. Jesus made us (the church) to be joint heirs with him in ALL THINGS.

Matthew 19:14(KJV) 14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
  • So, if you do not have this understanding, brothers and sisters, and you are doing otherwise; then you are breaking an hedge in your home.
  • If you are not one body and one spirit with your spouse, including having one purse, then you are breaking an hedge in your home because you are not protecting spiritual unity in the home. Just like God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit had all things in common.
  • If you are not guarding the spirit of marriage in your home, then you are breaking an hedge.
  • If you are cheating on your spouse by keeping secrets from them; then you are breaking an hedge. You are not truthful / honest to them; your No is not No and your Yes is not your Yes; then you are breaking an hedge.
  • When you don’t put effort to raise godly children in your home; you are breaking an hedge. Job did not do this for his children and he lost all of them in one day. Job1:19.
  • When you give your spouse and children the incomplete gospel of Christ, saying the full and complete gospel is too fanatical/too hard for them; then you are breaking an hedge.
  • When you encourage worldliness, ungodliness and worldly lifestyles / dressings THAT YOU DON’T DO in your spouse and children, all in the name of fashion, all in the name of what will people say; then you are breaking an hedge.

WHAT ARE THE EVIDENCES OF THE SERPENT'S BITE?

In the case of Job, it was a test of faith; it was a challenge Satan threw at God. Job1:9-12, Job2:1-7.
  • Fear, physical and spiritual nakedness and disrespect to God. Genesis 3:10-12
  • Physical and spiritual warfare in the home Genesis 3:15
  • Slavery for the woman in the home. A woman that is meant to be a favour from the Lord becomes the opposite in her home; her inheritance from God. Her children no longer call her blessed and her husband no longer delight in her. Genesis 3:16
  • Physical and spiritual hardship for the man. Genesis 3:17-19
  • Unhappy home, wayward children / murderers (The story of Cain and Abel) etc.
Brothers and sisters, these are some of the consequences / evidences of the serpent's bite. We are going to pray using the following Scriptures to ask Jesus to bring back NEW WINE into our home front again, if we can identify these things in them.

Let’s pray:
Colossians 1:19-20 (ERV) God was pleased for all of himself to live in the Son. And through him, God was happy to bring all things back to himself again—things on earth and things in heaven. God made peace by using the blood sacrifice of his Son on the cross.

Galatians 3:13(NKJV) Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),

Let’s thank the Lord for His love for us by praying like this:

  • Thank you Lord for bringing me back to You, for making peace with my home front by the blood sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ.
  •  Standing on this Lord, I claim Your victory for my home front today; please come and repair, bring back to life anything that is dead, or is faulty as a result of our ignorance in Jesus name.
  • Please restore Your New Wine in my home afresh, in Jesus' name.
  • I surrender my home front to you,O Lord. Please make it Your tabernacle from today, in Jesus' name.
  • Restate back Your purpose for marriage in my home again, O Lord, in Jesus' name.
  •  The wisdom I need to grow You in my peculiar home front, please grant it unto me, Lord, in Jesus' name.
  • Every help we need to restore Your purpose for our home front today, please send them our way,in the name of Jesus.
  • Holy Spirit of God, please build my home front, Lord Jesus; please build my home front, Abba, Father; please build my home front for You, in Jesus' name.
  • Holy Spirit of God, please come and inhabit the smallest details of my marriage, in Jesus' name.
  • Lord Jesus, restate back the complete gospel in my home, in Jesus' name.
  • My Father, please send forth Your Spirit into our hearts again, in Jesus' name.
Galatians 4:6-7(NKJV) And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, (because you have Christ in you) and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
  • Finally Brethren, lets thank the Lord for making every member of our home front sons and no longer slaves from today hence forth, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Centres for Restating the Complete Cross-Centred Gospel

Cornelius’s Household
Acts 10:34-48 (NKJV)

34 Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.  35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.  36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all—  37 that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached:  38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.  39 And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree.  40 Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly,  41 not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead.  42 And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead.  43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.” 44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.  45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.  46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, 47 “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”  48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.

The Prison Keeper’s Household
Acts 16:25-34 (NKJV)

25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.  26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.  27 And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself.  28 But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.” 29 Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.  30 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” 31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”  32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.  33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.  34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.

Abraham’s Household
Genesis 18:16-21 Living Bible (TLB)

16 Then the men stood up from their meal and started on toward Sodom; and Abraham went with them part of the way. 17 “Should I hide my plan from Abraham?” God asked.  18 “For Abraham shall become a mighty nation, and he will be a source of blessing for all the nations of the earth.  19 And I have picked him out to have godly descendants and a godly household—men who are just and good—so that I can do for him all I have promised. 20 So the Lord told Abraham, “I have heard that the people of Sodom and Gomorrah are utterly evil, and that everything they do is wicked.  21 I am going down to see whether these reports are true or not. Then I will know.”

v  God has always reckoned with man according to families. To Abraham, His Friend, God said, “in you shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” (Gen 12:3).

v  Gen 18:19 –God explains why He singled Abraham out and related to Him – so that he will produce godly descendants and a godly home-front.

v  It appears that God always wanted righteousness and faith in Him to be perpetuated from one generation to the next, not by an ‘organisation’ called church, but by any ‘organism’  called family.

v  It is because family life or the home-front became dysfunctional that organised ‘church’ became necessary.

v  God expected men to lead their households, teach them about Him and raise godly offspring to perpetuate godliness (Malachi 2:15).

v  Even in the early church, we see men being saved with their whole households when the gospel was preached to them.

v  Luke 19:9- When Jesus visited the home of Zacchaeus, He said to him, “This is day has salvation come to this house,…” not to this man. Jesus was reckoning with his whole household.

v  Imagine the atmosphere in the homes of the Cornelius and the prison keeper after the gospel was preached to them and they were saved! Everyone who visited those homes would definitely have the gospel preached to them by any member of the household.

Prayer Points
  • Lord, make my home a place where the cross-centred gospel is preached freely without reservation. Lord, let my household be completely open to the restating of the gospel at this crucial time.
  • Lord Jesus, please let the mystery of the gospel affect my household and every member of it.
  • Lord, let the heads of our homes be proactive and deliberate in opening our households up to the preaching or restating of the complete gospel.
  • Lord, please include every member of my household in the final ingathering. Let no one be left out.
  • Lord, please let my household become a place where the virtue of Your name and Your life is passed from one generation to another. Let 2 Tim 2:2 be a reality in my own household.
  • Lord, impress on my heart and on the heart of the head of my home, the sense of urgency in passing on the cross-centred gospel and the restating of it to the next generation.
  • Lord, let no child or youth in my household escape the restating of the gospel. Even people who stay in my home for a short time must have the gospel restated to them. Lord, help me and let Your wisdom prevail (Col 1:28-29).
  • Lord, let my household be saturated with mystery of the gospel. Let this mystery be tangible in my home and let it have undeniable effects that will glorify You, producing disciples, godly offspring and a godly household.

O Lord Help Us Build

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Saturday 10:30pm - 12:30am (UK time)

Matthew 7:24-28 (KJV)

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

 (Message)

24-25 “These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock. Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit—but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock.26-27 “But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don’t work them into your life, you are like a stupid carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach. When a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsed like a house of cards.”28-29 When Jesus concluded his address, the crowd burst into applause. They had never heard teaching like this. It was apparent that he was living everything he was saying

 Prayer

Ø  Thank God for our homes, for His mercies towards us and His workings in our homes.
Ø  Lord, cause us to hear you speak, cause us to hear every of your word clearly and grant us understanding.
Ø  Give us ears that hear. Remove anything that might prevent us from hearing you.
Ø  Give us a heart to do as you speak to us. Help us to deal with anything that wants to prevent us from doing/acting on your word.
Ø  Help each member of our family work the words of God into their lives. Let it be the reference manual for everything we do.
Ø  O Lord, please help evacuate anything still feeding the old man in our lives.
Ø  Lord Jesus, cause every member of my family to be wise. We shall not be foolish
Ø  Any foundation on which my home is standing on other than Jesus, Lord help pull it down.
Ø  Lord, I commit my home unto you as you are the wise master builder and the chief cornerstone. Lord, help me in the building of my home, Help in the building of every life in my home according to your pattern.
Ø  Lord make each one of us committed to the building according to pattern.
Ø  Let the roots of every member of my family grow down into you; let them be built up in you, so they can grow strong in the Truth.
Ø  Let the Cross of Jesus constantly be before us in Jesus name. May we never lose focus or sight of the Cross.
Ø  Lord help me to be wise in the building of my home, may I not be foolish.

 Matthew 11: 27-30 (KJV)

27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

 (Message)

27 Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly. “The Father has given me all these things to do and say. This is a unique Father-Son operation, coming out of Father and Son intimacies and knowledge. No one knows the Son the way the Father does, nor the Father the way the Son does. But I’m not keeping it to myself; I’m ready to go over it line by line with anyone willing to listen.28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

Prayer

Ø  We bring all homes going through one challenge or the other to the Lord. Come take over the running of our homes.
Ø  Bring everyone into the Cross Centred Gospel, rid every heart of every error that it had received in past time.
Ø  Lord, cause every member of our family to submit to the Lordship of Jesus as they yoke themselves unto you.
Ø  Lord, cause every member of our family to hear you calling out to them. Cause them to hear and make them willing to receive you as their Helper.
Ø  Help us and teach us to depend on you as you bring us into your rest

Ø  Teach us to walk with you and work with you as you help build our home on your divine pattern.

God's Spiritual House

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Saturday 10:30pm - 12:30am (UK time)

1 Peter 2:1-5 King James Version (KJV)

1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Our earthly homes have been supernaturally configured to offer sacrifices that are acceptable to God. It is VERY IMPORTANT that we step fully into this as God's family, laying aside all the things that are working against the graciousness of God upon our household.
As a NEW CREATION FAMILY, we must lay hold on our rights through this supernatural regeneration and firmly do the following:
1. Desire the sincerity and the growth embedded in the word of God.
2. Be the lively image of Jesus Christ.

PRAYER:

  • Lord, please water me in every area according to Your Truth, so I can water my family in the right way.
  • Open my eyes to the things that are lacking in my home and help me to set them in order of Heaven.
  • Lord, please bring my household into real partnership with those that are walking in the SAME SPIRIT and SAME STEPS with JESUS.
  • Help us as a family to love what You love, so we can continue the heavenly work of bruising the head of the serpent in every area as it has been committed to us from the foundation of the world.
3. Hold unto the heavenly doctrine in faith.
4. Be answerable to the life of JESUS.

PRAYER:

  • Let all around me, my life, my home...constantly reject fake doctrine. Open my household to the sound doctrine that will ensure the continuity of the COMPLETE WORK OF CALVARY at all times and in every situation.
  • Rid my home/family of anything that is inconsistent with the life of Jesus; collide with every area that is still untouched with Jesus' life.
5. Stand on the platform of IT IS NO LONGER MY FAMILY BUT CHRIST...when handling challenges, breakthroughs, successes, failures, troubles, trials, etc.
6. MUST enjoy God's Mercy - the fruits of God's Favour, and God's Peace – the positive effect of God's Rest inwardly and outwardly.
PRAYER:

  • Lord, help my household to constantly stand on THE HOPE that is laid up for us in Heaven, to keep standing on THE FAITH that does not rely on the reasoning and opinions of men.
  • Help us as a family to ENTER INTO GOD'S REST; to rest on the pure and purifying word of God that will keep moving us to question all impurities and to test all spirits.

The Lord's Heritage

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Saturday 10.30pm-1.30am (UK time)
Psalm 127 Amplified Bible
Unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise early, to retire late, to eat the bread of anxious labours— For He gives [blessings] to His beloved even in his sleep. 3Behold, children are a heritage and gift from the Lord, The fruit of the womb a reward. 4Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. How blessed [happy and fortunate] is the man whose quiver is filled with them; they will not be ashamed when they speak with their enemies [in gatherings] at the [city] gate.

Psalm 127 Good News Bible
If the Lord does not build the house, the work of the builders is useless; if the Lord does not protect the city, it does no good for the sentries to stand guard. It is useless to work so hard for a living, getting up early and going to bed late. For the Lord provides for those he loves, while they are asleep. Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a real blessing. The sons a man has when he is young are like arrows in a soldier's hand. Happy is the man who has many such arrows. He will never be defeated when he meets his enemies in the place of judgment.
Solomon having a house to build, a city to keep, and seed to raise up to his father, David directs him to look up to God, and to depend upon his providence, without which all his wisdom, care, and industry, would not serve.

Everyone knew that Solomon was a wise man, and would be correct to lean on his own understanding but his father teaches him to look higher, and to take God along with him in his undertakings

Prayer Point
  • Lord, please help us to look up to You in the raises and teaching of our children
  • Help us not to lean on our understanding or experiences or other people’s experiences to raise the gifts- heritage- You have given to us
Solomon was a man of business and his father instructed him how to manage his business under the direction of his religion.
  • Father, please help us to manage our business in respect of our home and children under Your instruction
  • Come Lord, build our home. We do not want to build in vain.
  • Help us to build according to Your pattern
Psalm 127:3
3Behold, children are a heritage and gift from the Lord, The fruit of the womb a reward
It is the Lord that gives them, if they are given and when He gives, they are to us what He makes them. Children are a heritage, and a reward, and are so to be accounted; blessings and not burdens

Prayer Point
Lord, You are the one that gives children as gifts, please release Your gifts unto us; in particular for those of us who are waiting on You to receive ours
  • Lord, please strengthen the loins and the wombs, O God
  • We trust in You Lord for the provision and safety of the children that You will release unto us.
  • We will train them up in the fear of You O Lord, with Your help.
  • We will consult You O God concerning them in every situation.
Eph 6 1-3 (MSG)
Children, do what your parents tell you. This is only right. “Honor your father and mother” is the first commandment that has a promise attached to it, namely, “so you will live well and have a long life.”

Children do sometimes struggle to obey and honour their parents. Probably because the enemy knows that this carries a blessing along with it, as a promise of God. If children do not have the life of Christ in them, it is difficult for obedience to be natural to them. They will struggle to live a life of obedience as it seems.

Prayer Point
  • Lord, let the exchange of life take place in our children.
  • As you release these gifts unto us help us to raise them up in Your will
  • Lord, give us wisdom to teach Your heritage Your word and ways, till they reach Calvary where the exchange of life takes place
  • Rid them of the works of flesh Lord
Eph.6:4 Amplified Bible
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger [do not exasperate them to the point of resentment with demands that are trivial or unreasonable or humiliating or abusive; nor by showing favoritism or indifference to any of them], but bring them up [tenderly, with lovingkindness] in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
As a parent it is our responsibility to give children the upbringing that prepares them for lives pleasing to God. Not the church, school, these can only assist and affirm our own training.

Prayer Point
  • Lord please help me raise a Godly generation onto You
  • Help me raise and train them up to live a life that is pleasing unto You
  • Grant me wisdom to train them as individuals, not assuming my methods with the first will work with a second or third
Luke 1:17Amplified Bible
17 It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous [which is to seek and submit to the will of God]—in order to make ready a people [perfectly] prepared [spiritually and morally] for the Lord.”

Prayer Point
  • Lord, help my heart to be turned to the heart of my children in order to bring their hearts to the heart of the Saviour.

Abigail's Home

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Saturday 10:30pm - 12:30am (UK time)

1 Sam 25v14-44 – NIV

Abigail was an example of a woman who was sensitive, prayerful, wise, discerning, quick thinking, responsive, generous, approachable, even tempered, and eloquent. Heaven leaked a secret about David’s future as king to her (v30) she yielded her home and future to the Lord and the Lord rewarded her.

 Prayer
Ø  Father, make me a “home fronter” that is approachable so that heaven can use anyone it so chooses to prompt me into action.
Ø  Grant me wisdom to be quick and decisive in my response.
Ø  Lord, let the wisdom of heaven continue to teach me how to respond to difficult and challenging situations.
Ø  Lord, please give me the resources that I need to be prompt in my spirit and be forthcoming in action.
Ø  Father, give me wisdom not to react foolishly but to act in the way that is befitting of a godly vessel that will glorify You in my home.
Ø  Give me the heart of an intercessor and help me to intercede aright.
Ø  Strengthen me in the place of prayer for my home and for the future generations.
Ø  Lord, put words in my mouth to speak when I need to.
Ø  Father, take Your throne in our homes
Ø  Lord, please accept the offer of our hearts, lives and homes.

Matthew 6v19-20 – NLT
19 Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves break in and steal.

Prayer
Ø  Lord Jesus, Great Treasure of heaven, we deposit our little treasures into Your throne room of heaven tonight.
Ø  Sanctify, cleanse, purge, purify them from every rust and moth that had contaminated them up till now.
Ø  Father, please take care of them, permit them to rest in Your unfailing love and loving kindness.
Ø   Treasure of heaven, build Your throne in our homes so that lesser treasures fizzle into insignificance in our hearts, lives and homes.

 Luke 1v17 – KJV
And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

 Prayer
Ø  Father, touch the hearts of the children in this generation.
Ø  Lord, break my heart with the things that break Your heart.
Ø  We prophesy into the lives of our children that they shall be filled with the Spirit of the Lord first for their own lives and as channels for other lives.
Ø  Father, let the disobedient heart in them be replaced with the wisdom of God that they may run after God.
Ø  Most of our youth are quite decisive in their choices; Lord, please affect every choice and decisions they make henceforth.
Ø  Father, please prepare our children/youth for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ø  Father, we lay claim to the cyberworld today as a means of channelling Your gospel to and through our children.

Psalm 76v1-2 – GNB
God is known in Judah; His name is honoured in Israel. He has His home in Jerusalem; He lives on Mount Zion.

 Prayer
Ø  Father, let Jesus be known and acknowledged in and through our homes and in our neighbourhood.
Ø  Let the name of Jesus be honoured in our home community.
Ø  Let Your Cross be placed at the heart of our home.
Ø  Jesus, make Your home in my home.
Ø  Lord, we pray that You will come and sit upon our lives.
Ø  Lord, please reveal to me those things that are key in Your heart.
Ø  We use ourselves as points of contact for our generation, among the women. Father use us as Your rod and battle axe in the place of prayer.
Ø  Let Your kingdom come and be established yet again in our lifetime, O Lord.
