1 Corinthians 13: 4-5 KJV
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
God is love. Christians are not to relax until the level of God's love is attained in their homes. Godly homes must ensure they are established in the pool of the properties attached to God's love.

1. Love suffers long:
It puts up with many slights, neglects and discouragements. It can endure all forms of resentment with no revenge in mind. It waits long to see the effect of its endurance.
Prayer – Lord, please make my home firm. Empower us over angry words/actions. Let us experience the persevering patience that reforms the home.
2. Love is kind:
It is directed by the law that governs kindness. It is courteous, has a large heart and ever ready to show favours despite pains, hurts and disappointments.
Prayer - Lord, enlarge our hearts in God's love. Help us to be compassionate despite misunderstandings. Let Your love give us opportunities to do good and not seek revenge for hurts.
3. Love does not envy:
It suppresses evil feelings about the success of others. It is pleased with the good qualities in others and in all they do.
Prayer – God, help us to appreciate Your goodness and Your giftings in our household. Help us to support one another in identifying these giftings, so we can share and rejoice in them as one.
4. Love does not puff up:
It does not swell up because of achievements. It does not despise or trample on others.
Prayer – Lord, please subdue every pride in our homes. Guide us by Your true love. Help us to esteem ourselves and raise the values of one another in Christ.
5. Love does not behave unseemly:
It does not cross the boundary of decency. It does not behave out of place. It is respectful and does not break orders.
Prayer – Lord, please control our homes by the order of heaven. Let our Children be decent in every aspects of life. Remove the language of the world far from them.
6. Love does not seek its own:
It is not selfish. It does not seek its own pleasure to hurt or neglect others. It does
not seek satisfaction to the detriment of others.
Prayer – Lord, mend all broken hedges in our homes. Help us to delight in You and honour You always. Let Christ be seen in every member of our homes, so as not to give room for the flesh in our daily affairs and dealings with ourselves in Jesus' name. AMEN!
